COVID-19 Safety Policy

Blues Muse_Banner_20220606.jpg

There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public space where people are present. By registering for our event and attending Blues Muse, you agree that entry is at your own risk and you voluntarily and expressly assume all risks associated with entry. Blues Muse has put policies and preventative methods in place to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, but cannot guarantee that exposure to or infection with COVID-19 will not occur while at the event.

This policy is subject to change as the pandemic continues to evolve. Please check back periodically before attending to make sure you have the latest information. Blues Muse does not claim to be risk free. There is an inherent risk of catching COVID-19 and other illnesses when attending our event. You must assess your own risk tolerance and if you decide to register, you will agree to not hold Blues Muse or any of its staff liable for contracting any illness.

Vaccinations

  • All attendees at the event will be required to have up to date vaccinations. Up to date vaccination indicates you have received a full primary course as well as any boosters recommended by the CDC. Again, if the CDC recommends a booster and you are eligible, that booster will be required to be considered up to date for Blues Muse. If you are an international attendee we will accept your country’s definition of up to date, within reason.

  • Please bring proof of vaccination status and photo ID (drivers license, tribal ID, etc. are all accepted). These are necessary in order to attend. We accept original copies and photos.

  • For those who wish to obtain a medical or booster exemption, please contact us via this website to discuss your situation. We will be requiring daily testing and that you wear an orange wristband to indicate that you are high risk.

  • Even if you are fully vaccinated you can opt into wearing the high risk wristband so that other attendees know to respect your space and ask you about your preferred risk tolerances.

Masking

  • All attendees must wear well-fitting, high quality masks at all times while indoors at Blues Muse. Masks must securely cover the nose and mouth and form a seal around the face. Masks must be surgical grade or greater; cloth masks will not be allowed at this time. We strongly recommend respirator style masks (N95, KN95, KF94, etc) if they are available to you.

  • Attendees without a compliant mask will be denied entry until they can obtain one. We reserve the right to ask you to change or adjust your mask if we determine that it doesn’t meet our policy.

  • If you are traveling on an airplane or public transportation to get to Blues Muse we ask that you wear a mask while you travel.

Testing

  • If you are traveling to Blues Muse, we strongly recommend that you take a rapid antigen test before leaving home. If you test positive for or have symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event. Please contact the event organizers ASAP. We will issue full refunds (minus Paypal processing fees) in the event that you are unable to attend due to contracting COVID-19.

    • Applicable symptoms include cough, sore throat, diarrhea, fever, cough, runny nose, body aches, vomiting, etc. These are not exclusively applicable to COVID-19, but if you are experiencing ANY illness, or think you are becoming ill, refrain from attending our events.

  • Organizers can be reached throughout the weekend at info.bluesmuse@gmail.com if you have questions about testing.

Extra Precautions You Can Take

  • We strongly recommend taking extra precautions in the two weeks leading up to the event, wearing masks while indoors and around others, and limiting your possible exposure. This includes working from home if possible and opting to not eat indoors at restaurants.

  • We also strongly recommend you take extra precautions following the event to prevent spreading any potential illnesses back to your home communities.

  • Please wash your hands with soap and water upon arriving at our classes and dances, and please wash your hands after using the restroom, sneezing, or coughing. Please avoid using personal hand sanitizers as we have community members with extreme chemical allergies and this could ruin their weekend. Please see the front desk for safe hand sanitizer.

Extra Precautions We Will Be Taking

  • We will be promoting good air circulation and filtration in the venues

  • We will be using contact tracing methods to track any possible exposures and keep attendees informed in the event of an outbreak. Be prepared to give your contact info at the door
